CONTACTING THE PRACTICE
The practice are aware we are experiencing high volume of calls on a daily basis.
If calling to make a general enquiry or calling for results it may benefit you to call at less busy times, this being between 12.00 pm – 3.00 pm.
The practice are actively looking at different solutions to help alleviate patient frustrations in contacting the surgery.
To aid this further we are currently in the process of discussing installation of patient call queue service on our telephone lines.

Order your repeat prescriptions early to ensure you have enough medication to cover this period.

Patients on long-term medication have a number of options open for re-ordering medicines:
We strive to turn around requests 48 hours (minimum 2 working days). For prescriptions on pharmacy pickup, please allow a further 24hrs (3 working days).
Responding to changes in prescriptions following a hospital appointment or discharge takes longer (minimum two working days) as the GP will wish to check the request against your records to ensure that the new treatment is suitable for you and will not interact with any of your current medication.
Please order a new prescription 7-10 days before your stock is due to run out, and only order what you need.
As part of our regular medical practice a GP or Nurse will review your medications annually.
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. For prescriptions on pharmacy pickup, please allow a further 24hrs (3 working days). Any problems please telephone the surgery.
